Sustainbility has been very important in our personal lives as well as our business. It factors into how we design and curate products, how we operate our company and how we send out each package from our doorsteps to yours.
As of 2021, we will no longer be curating any acrylic based product.
We always try to source clothing with as much natural fibre percentage as possible to minimize the impact of microplastics entering our waters. We choose manufacturers that are transparent and good industry practices and try to assess the situation the best we can with the limited resources we have as a very small business.
Our first concern is to reduce and eliminate as much unnecessary products as possible. This is why we do not have hang tags on the clothes we produce. Instead we tend to print the information directly on the fabric.
Secondly, we try our best to make sure everything can be reused. We made our thank you cards into bookmark dimension so you can use them for your books. We also reuse shipping materials such as bubble wrap, cardboard, bubbler mailer and tissue paper.
Third, we source everything as close to our home base as possible and with as few suppliers as possible to reduce the carbon footprint of our operation.
How to reuse and recycle MUKA packaging
mailer - can be reused; can be recycled once the bubble lining, the shipping label and all tape is removed
tissue paper - can reused or recycled.
logo sticker - can be recycled via paper recycling
We're constantly improving our process to reduce our impact on the earth. If you have any suggestions for us, please reach out and let us know!
